With the variety of our clients at Speed, creativity, fresh thinking and new ideas are all part of the daily job. Despite what many people may believe, you don’t need to be born with a natural flair for creativity to be a creative PR. There are ways that you can teach yourself to become better at it!
With a whole host of creative training and practices available, just find some hints and tips that work for you to help improve your creative flair. Here are two top tips that will get you on the road to becoming a better ‘creative’ and reap the benefits as a result.
Mindfulness & Curiosity:
Being aware of what is happening around you by practising mindfulness and intentionally noticing what is going on around you will help to open up barriers to becoming more open and curious. This will help you to explore and unearth the boundaries of creativeness and provide you with authentic ideas.
As Grace Coddington said during her time at American Vogue, “always keep your eyes open, never go to sleep in the car, keep watching because what ever you see out the window it can inspire you”.
Reflect on what has been done before:
Reflecting on what has been done before is also a great starting point. Sharing existing creative campaigns that have made an impact will not only help you think of how you can do better but also spur on new ideas for your own clients. Build and explore further than what has appeared in the media, make the effort to research and use creative inspiration as a platform for something fresh and exciting.
Two tips that are simple and effective.
