Speed's Christmas Charities

One of Speed’s three core values is being Supportive, and we believe wholeheartedly in contributing to our community in Bristol, especially after the extraordinary events of the last two years. This Christmas we are supporting two charities that do so much for children and families in the South West:

Ablaze is our nominated charity and we support them all year round. Their mission is to tackle inequality of opportunity for young people in the West of England, through initiatives such as promoting literacy in primary schools and training young adults to prepare for their first job. We support however we can, from pro bono marketing campaigns to our Speedsters reading with children in schools on their lunch breaks. It’s a charity close to our hearts and you can find out more about the work we do for them here.

South & East Bristol Foodbank is a brilliant organisation, helping local people in crisis. In the last five years, foodbank usage has increased by 128%, with the pandemic only compounding the problem. The South & East Bristol Foodbank gave over 6,000 emergency food parcels to families in the region last year alone. Many of their staff are volunteers and they rely on local donations and fundraising to continue to tackle hunger.
