A journey from traditional PR to a fully integrated communication programme
Our continuing work with one of Europe’s best resorts reflects the changing role of PR.
This year we’re celebrating having Celtic Manor, one of the finest business and leisure resorts in Europe, as a client for 10 years.
What began in 2009 with traditional PR, today incorporates a whole raft of integrated digital, social and collaborative content support as we have worked with the resort and their changing world to evolve the work we deliver for them.
Our initial approach used media relations and press office management to help build the reputation of the resort’s world-class facilities and services, spa breaks, golf trips, bars, restaurants and more.
We’ve managed their press office during periods where Celtic Manor was on the world stage, from the 2010 Ryder Cup to the 2014 NATO Summit.
We helped build a packed annual calendar at the resort and developed fresh strategies to harness media interest in events like ‘Polo at the Manor’ and the ‘Celebrity Cup’ golf tournament every year.
And more recently, we implemented a fully integrated digital strategy, providing social, search, SEO consultancy and content production, clearly reflecting the text book definition of PR redefined.
In 2018, Celtic Manor featured in almost 300 pieces of coverage, hosted a dozen top-level press trips, added over 70,000 new social media followers, and increased its organic search traffic by almost 500%.
