Global quality assurance and risk management company, DNV GL, wanted to raise its profile as a key authority on the global energy transition with industry professionals, customers and media.
Speed was briefed to develop a new podcast format to complement the business’ already successful podcast series ‘Talks Energy’.
Taking a completely fresh approach, ‘Face the Facts’ was a fast-turnaround podcast series, which saw leading energy industry commentators provide their perspective on current affairs topics relating to energy transition.
A media thought leadership programme, positioning DNV GL as central to the debate on global climate change and the move to increase renewable energy, was also delivered based on the podcast commentary.
‘Face the Facts’ consisted of 10 episodes and generated almost 80,000 listens across all platforms – a 48% increase on DNV GL’s previous ‘Talks Energy’ podcast series. It also delivered a 13% increase in podcast subscribers via the DNV GL website.
Audience retention was 77% over ten episodes. The quality of the editorial content and the profile of the guests ensured listeners returned week on week.
The thought leadership programme resulted in coverage within target, sector media such as Renewable Energy World, Euractiv and Energy Voice and achieved a total reach of over 12m unique browsers.
