In 2017 we were briefed to launch the Revlon One Step Volumiser and we had BIG ambitions.

Six years ago, Revlon was more famous for curling lashes than curling hair. Our brief was to introduce the brand onto the world’s hair scene with its revolutionary new tool that aimed to dry and style hair in just one-step.

Flash forward to 2024, and it is TikTok’s most famous hairstyling hashtag, winner of a tonne of beauty awards and the UK’s biggest selling styling tool, ever. THAT’S what PR with Power can do.

We blended an approach of driving column inches on the most sought-after beauty pages, with an ambassador programme to flood the social feeds of top beauty influencers. This resulted in the the Revlon One Step Volumiser becoming the hottest styling tool in the beauty industry.

Results: Market leader growth outstripping the market; 100 paid influencer partnerships; excess of 418m hashtag views; +1,000 pieces of media coverage; 10 prestigious beauty awards; brand collaboration with Boohoo.com; PR lifestyle film even made it into a TV ad; over 2 million units sold.
